Fruit of the Spirit: Love

Main memory verse:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Discussion: Who loves you? How do you know they love you?

Activity: Trace the word “love” in your book. Colour the heart.

love with your hands? Mouth?

Activity: Look through a magazine for a picture that shows love. Stick it in your book.

Discussion: How do we know that God loves us?

Activity: Paint a cross to cut out and stick in the book.

Discussion: Why should we pray for the people we love?

Activity: Trace your hands. Decorate the palms and write the names of people we love in the fingers. Pray for these people.

Discussion: Should we love people we don’t know? Should we love people who don’t love us? Does God?

Activity: Read the story of Joseph. Decorate a picture of a coat and stick it in the book.

Bake some heart-shaped cookies to give to people we love.
