Thick cardboard (I used a cereal box)
Star-shaped cookie cutter
To make one ornament, cut out one cardboard star and two felt stars. I did all the cutting prior to sitting down with the girls. (Older children should be able to cut out their own shapes.)
Punch a hole in the point of the cardboard star and tie the string in a loop.
Glue the felt stars on either side of the cardboard.
Decorate using glitter glue. (Or beads, or buttons, or whatever takes your fancy.) My plan was to decorate both sides of the star, but the girls were a bit enthusiastic with the glitter glue.
“Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” – Matthew 2:2
