Today’s “Currently” post is brought to you courtesy of a brain fog that I’m struggling to shake. (Word of caution: flu mix plus corenza is not a good idea.)
Recovering: Emmy got sick first (throat), followed a week later by Angie (ears), so it was no surprise when I woke up weak and shaky on Friday. I’m much better today, thankfully.
Watching: Bates Motel. My parents got me hooked on this a few weeks ago when I bemoaned not having anything to watch while waiting for the new seasons of Downton Abbey and the Walking Dead. It’s a bit slow at times, but the acting is brilliant, particularly by young Norman. I will never be able to watch August Rush the same way, though.
Reading: I just finished Jonathan Kellerman’s The Web. I’m pretty sure the weirdness was heightened by whatever the Corenza and flu mix was doing to my head, which is to say that I’m not 100% sure what was going on, but I couldn’t put it down.
Listening: I’ve got Sarah Reeves playing in the car this week. She’s done covers of a lot of popular Christian songs, and the girls love singing along with her. They don’t always get the words right but it is so precious to hear them singing praise as loud as they can.
Doing: Typing up the manuscript of the devotional I mentioned here. I’m just past the halfway mark – yay!
What are you up to?
