Currently, and a roundup

And, just like that, it’s the end of June. Half the year is gone – is it too soon to start counting down to Christmas?

Currently, and a roundup

To end the month, here’s a “currently” post and a roundup.

Currently …

Reading: Jo Nesbo’s Cockroaches.

Doing: Trying to work with a grumpy two-year-old climbing all over me. Emmy has pink eye. Or green eye and purple eye, if you ask her. I’ve also been knitting like crazy the last few weeks.

Currently, and a roundup

Watching: I’ve been watching season three reruns of NCIS. I never watched this season the first time around. I like Ziva, but I miss Kate.

Listening to: Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, which Emmy asked me to put on for her but isn’t actually watching.

Excited about: starting our homeschooling journey in August.

This month on the blog …

I wrote about how we’d decided to homeschool the girls together, and then how we decided to start in August instead of January.

My dad ran his 34th Comrades Marathon this year. My daughters also had sweet things to say for Father’s Day.

I wrote about discussing body image, where babies come from and stranger danger with my daughters. I spoke about modesty from the perspective of a mother of daughters.

I wrote about ways of helping the less fortunate this winter and registering as an organ donor.

I posted two recipes: pea soup and chicken stew.

And I wrote about being a visible Christian, being in the right place at the right time, and how loving a person does not mean approving of sinful behaviour.

What are you up to today?
