I love pasta. And bread. Those are two of the reasons I would fail at the banting diet before I even began. If you’re like me, then this is a great (and easy!) meal to make for your family.
Lean minced beef
1 jar of tomato pasta sauce
2-3 slices of bread, crusts removed
baby marrows, grated
Oregano, salt, pepper
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Break up the bread into small pieces and place in a large bowl.
Add the grated baby marrow. Add the mince. Add the oregano, salt and pepper, and mix everything with your hands.
Place meatballs in an ovenproof dish.
Spoon over sauce until all the meatballs are covered.
Bake uncovered for about an hour.
Serve with spaghetti. (I also sliced the remaining baby marrow into rounds and fried them in a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper to serve as a side dish.)
