After our week’s break from school, it was good to start again with a review of the letters and sight words that we have done so far. Angie also started learning words in the AT word family as part of Reading the Alphabet.
We moved to the dining room table for school. Angie is now 1.2m tall – and she’s only just five years old! – so she was struggling to work at the smaller kids’ table. (It’s also a lot more comfortable for me at the dining room table. 🙂 )
I found some really cute printables for Emmy’s review work. Here she is building a cat number puzzle from 1+1+1=1.
And here she is busy with a bat size sorting activity from 3 Dinosaurs.
Angie loved this bottle cap word building activity.
And she got really excited when doing the word puzzles. “I think I’m getting it, Mommy!”
Emmy made a colours book from cutout magazine pictures.
And practiced her counting with our DIY counting sticks. (Glitter glue, ice cream sticks and a marker. Easy peasy.)
Angie practiced her sight words with these read, build, stamp and write pages.
Here she’s doing a print awareness activity.
And aren’t these letter C cat crafts just too cute?
What have you been up to this week?
