October Roundup

I can’t believe it’s already time for my monthly roundup post. Didn’t I just do one of these the other day?

Ballerina Girl

I began the month with Emmy’s birthday interview. Angie took part in her first ballet concert.

If you’re looking for some free printables, take a look at this Daisy Counting printable, this Banana Math printable, this Bee Counting activity and this Rocket Counting activity. There’s also this cute Ladybug Counting activity.

In our homeschool, we learned the letter D, letter B, letter R and letter G.

Cheesy Cucumber Cracker Cats

I shared some cute snack ideas: Too-Sweet-To-Eat Strawberry Rats, Pineapple Rats, Peanut Butter and Apple Bats and Cheesy Cucumber Cracker Cats.

I started a new blog series of behind the scenes interviews with homeschool moms. If you missed them, find out about Jolene, Irina and Deana.

I got to co-host the #ParentTeacherMeetUp.

If you’re looking for a November photo challenge, here’s one for you.

And how did I do on the goals I shared last month?

Blogging goals:

I managed to stick to the blogging calendar I had. I also shared more of my posts on social media and took part in several linkups.

Next month I plan to figure out how to use Stumbleupon properly.

{Homeschooling} Week 9 - Learning The Letter B
“Mommy, we’re pretending it’s winter. Brr!”

Personal goals:

I didn’t wake up as early as I had planned, but I started swimming in the afternoons so I don’t feel bad about not exercising in the morning. I’ve been better at having my devotional time before getting on with my day. The school time goes better when I do, even it means starting school a bit later on the days I didn’t get up early enough.

The girls and I have gotten into a routine of praying together before we start school. Next month I want to add more singing into this time, as well as some creative worship that they can do.

And I completely failed on taking more time out for myself. So, that’s now November’s goal.

What are your goals for November?
