This week we learned the letter K and the sight word ‘me’. (Reading the Alphabet – K. Learning the Alphabet – K.) We are also officially halfway through this curriculum! I’ve started thinking about what material to use next, and also started working on a more intentional art and music curriculum for next year.

I made this cute koala counting activity. My instruction was for the girls to place the correct number of koalas on the tree. Angie, of course, turned hers into a whole production and made the koalas climb the tree trunk.

This Kite File Folder activity is from The Measured Mom. Until a few months ago, I had no idea what a file folder activity was, and now I can’t get enough of them!

Our craft of the week was very simple. I cut out shapes for the girls to glue onto a piece of blue cardboard.

This was probably the toughest week we’ve had so far. I think it was a combination of exhaustion – I started the week with a tummy bug – the heat, and the anticipation of our beach holiday and Christmas. Yet somehow we survived. 🙂
