{Homeschooling} Week 25 – Teaching The Letter E

Emmy loved this week’s letter. “It’s an E for me! Look, Mommy! E for Emmy!” Angie also learned the sight word ‘little’. (Learning the Alphabet – E. Reading the Alphabet – E.) And she kept reminding me that she is no longer little. As if I need the reminder!

We also learned the number seven. (Romping Roaring Numbers – 7.)

We learned the letter E rhyme. Download E is for egg rhyme here or get the whole bundle at my Teacher’s Notebook store.

We did week seven of Bible Road Trip. Still in the book of Exodus, we learned about the Ten Commandments, the golden calf and the Tabernacle. Below is Angie’s illustration of this week’s memory verse.

And at the end of the week we welcomed this boy to the family. Say hello to Tyson! (Like the girls, he struggles to stay still long enough for me to take a decent photo.) We had always planned to get a dog once we were in our new house, but after the burglary it became a priority. I saw Tyson on our local SPCA’s Facebook page, we took the girls to meet him, and it was love at first sight. (The cat was less than happy when we brought him home, and the two of them are still not BFFs.)

He’s still a puppy, and quite exuberant, so Emmy’s been knocked over a few times and is learning to be more cautious around him. Angie adores him, and likes to go outside first thing in the morning for a few minutes of playtime before starting school.
