Our craft of the week was a really simple S for snake activity. (But it’s impressive that we actually did a craft of this week, don’t you think?)
We did the number ten. (Romping Roaring Numbers – 10.)
We did week 11 of Bible Road Trip and looked at the book of Deuteronomy. We’ve also been practicing the order of the books of the Bible.
Below is Angie’s illustration of this week’s verse.
We begin our school day with Bible reading, memory verses and prayer. The girls take turns praying first, and when it was Angie’s turn one morning, she prayed, “Help me to obey my Mommy and Daddy.” I love hearing the girls pray and getting a glimpse of their hearts. Angie often prays for other people, and it was really special to hear her pray this for herself.
We’ve also been a bit more focused on learning Afrikaans as well. We had been doing just the days of the week and months of the year, but this week we started learning the alphabet, some colours, the numbers 1-10, and shapes. The girls are quite excited and convinced that they’re now fluent in Afrikaans, and they insist on trying to say everything without my help.
What did you do this week?
