The Jesse Tree Journey

Don’t you just love Christmas? One of my favourite traditions is the Jesse Tree.

What’s a Jesse Tree?

I’m so glad you asked. The Jesse Tree is a Jesus-focused Advent countdown that starts in Genesis and ends with Jesus’ birth. It traces God’s salvation plan from the beginning, and it’s a reminder of the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

We first did the Jesse Tree when Angie was a year old. I did it simply, sticking the pictures on a cardboard tree stump. The next year, I bought the wire tree we’re currently using. Each day, we do the reading and hang a picture on the tree.

Journey with us

This year, I’m inviting you to join us as we journey through the Jesse Tree. Starting on the 26th November, I will be sending out a daily email with the Scripture reading for the day, a couple of questions to journal or discuss with your children, and a simple craft activity for your children.

You can follow our crafts via my Instagram. Please share yours with #JesseTreeJourney so we can see them too.
