This week we learned the letter Y and the sight word ‘that’. (Learning the Alphabet – Y. Reading the Alphabet – Y.) It was interesting trying to explain ‘yam’ and ‘yak’ to South African kids.
We did the letter Y rhyme. You can download Y is for yoghurt here or get the whole bundle at my Teacher’s Notebook store.
We learned the number nine. (Romping Roaring Numbers – 9.)
We did the book of Numbers in week ten of Bible Road Trip. Below is Emmy’s illustration of the verse. She drew God.
And we went to the dentist. It was the first time there were no tears!
This was a rough week for me. It was the beginning of the third trimester so I’d started feeling more exhausted than before, and I started to experience the pinched nerve and ligament pain. Everyone was also snotty – yay, winter! – so we didn’t do any of the planned crafts.
The dog was also acting out – chewing the side mirror of Jacques’ car and pulling off the number plate, as well as ripping up his blankets and breaking branches off plants. He didn’t help my general mood, that’s for sure. (Fortunately his behaviour has improved.)
